  • Warm Up: My Cul-de-sac

  • The Lonely Starbuck Chair

While writing cover letters at Starbucks today I spotted one lonely chair that was asking to be used as my warm-up. It was the only chair in the whole place that didn’t enjoy the warmth of two butt cheeks. So I wipped out my tablet and scribbled it down. Now that chair is special too.

  • Stone Mountain Park

For today’s landscape drawing class we met at Stone Mountain to take pictures and do some sketches for our next study. It was a beautiful day out and I got to listen to a gaggle of old people complain about Wal-Mart as I drew for an hour hahaha. © Gregory Mitchell

So I’ve finally started with color on this one. I hope to slowly move away from grayscale paintings so I can speed things up and bring more richness to my paintings. © Gregory Mitchell

  • Project Pro- The Beginning

I’ve just begun work on a new short film entitled “The Professional.” The film will will feature segments that are steam mechanized so I’m doing some development in graphite with heavy reference from early 1900’s steam engines. I’ll be doing many pages of these until I develop a style of mechanical parts that feels my…
