Lately I’ve been beyond impressed with the custom pencil brushes in PS6. In tandem with my tablet (nope! not my cintiq) I find myself doing the quickest and most confident sketches of the day. I think it’s because I have super weak wrists and I don’t have to bare down hard to get solid results. I can now just dial up opacity combined with not having to actually use my whole arm to draw. Whatever it is is magic! The majority of my work is secret and under wraps for my short but here are some quick (5 to 45 second) sketches of people in various actions at a Starbucks on Melsrose Ave. I use a combination of simple construction, continuos lines and contouring for these gestures.
