I was fortunate enough to take Armand Serrano’s Environment Sketching for Production class online. The techniques and skills I learned in 8 weeks could have easily taken me years. Because of the tight deadlines in the class I was never able to produce something that I was “happy” with but I did do a lot of pieces that helped me in my learning process. My main environment for that class was something I called “The Hanging Coliseum.” I’ve always loved the grandeur of the coliseum and I wondered how neat it would be if it was suspended mid air…It wasn’t easy and it’s still certainly not perfect but I did have some decent attempts at the location. I would highly recommend this class to anyone that wants to really know the ins and outs of environmental art ( and regular art). Here are some of my favorite pieces from the class!
